After death comes the judgement (Holy Bible -Hebrews 9:27)
Death is the one appointment none of us can cancel as creatures of God we don’t have power over death— and on that day, every one of us will stand not in front of an earthly judge but the Judge of the Universe. The most important question you will ever face is this:
Why would a holy God allow you into Heaven?
Just think about this, if good people can go to heaven, then why did Jesus come to earth to be crucified? He just wasted his time. On the other hand Jesus came for ungodly sinners. Apostle Paul said, “Jesus came into the world to save sinners—of whom I am the worst." (1 Timothy 1:15)
You might think, “I’m a good person,” or “I go to church,” or “I try my best to help others.” Perhaps you lean on religious tradition. But Jesus himself issued a sober warning — that our traditions can be deceitful as Jesus said the following.
“You leave the commandment of God and hold to the tradition of men. (Mark 7:8)
And he said to them, “You have a fine way of rejecting the commandment of God in order to establish your tradition! (Mark 7:9)
Sincerity is not the same as truth. A person can be sincerely wrong. God’s standard is not tradition — it is His Holy Word.
To understand where we stand before God, we must look honestly into the mirror of the Ten Commandments. Scripture tells us that “sin is lawlessness” — sin is breaking God’s moral laws. (1 John 3:4). Let’s look carefully how we stand totally guilty sinners before God’s Holy law.
I. Have you ever told a lie — even a small one?
→ That makes you a liar! How many lies do you have to tell to be a liar? Just one lie.
II. Have you ever stolen anything, regardless of its value?
That makes you a thief ! How many times do you need to steal something to become a thief? Just once.
III. Jesus said: “Everyone who looks at a woman with lustful intent has already committed adultery with her in his heart.” (Matthew 5:28)
Have you ever looked at someone with lust, including social media or T.V?
→AS GOD LOOKS AT YOUR HEART, BY GOD’S HOLY STANDARD, THAT IS ADULERY.
By this measure, we are not merely “people who make mistakes.” We are lawbreakers. From God’s standard you are a liar, thief and an adulterer. We went through only three, if we go through all the laws of God it will show how sinful we are in God’s sight— and God’s Word says the Law was given so that “every mouth may be stopped, and the whole world may be held accountable to God” (Romans 3:19).
It is the perfect holiness of God that determines the weight of punishment. If God is less holy, the result of punishment would be less. If God is not holy at all, there would be no punishment. But God is infinitely holy (“Holy, holy, holy is the Lord of hosts – Isaiah 6:3) — and therefore the punishment for sin is infinite, eternal, no end. The punishment will be in hell/lake of fire forever and ever!
And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire.”
Jesus warned about hell because it is a real place of terrible torment and eternal suffering. In the story of the rich man and Lazarus, the rich man cried out from hell, saying, “Father Abraham, have mercy on me, and send Lazarus to dip the end of his finger in water and cool my tongue, for I am in anguish in this flame” (Luke 16:24). This shows that hell is a place of suffering, sorrow, and eternal punishment.
The rich man was so troubled that he begged Abraham to send someone back from the dead to warn his five brothers, so they would not also come into that place of torment. But Abraham answered, “They have Moses and the Prophets; let them hear them” (Luke 16:29). In other words, they already had the Scriptures—the Word of God—which clearly warned about sin, judgment, and repentance.
Abraham further said, “If they do not hear Moses and the Prophets, neither will they be persuaded though one rise from the dead” (Luke 16:31). The lesson is clear: if people refuse to listen to God’s Word, they will not believe even if they witness a miracle or if someone returned from the dead to warn them.
The Bible is God’s warning to sinners. It calls all people to repent and turn to Christ while there is still time. Jesus spoke more about hell than anyone else in Scripture because He lovingly warned men and women of the danger of eternal punishment and showed that He alone is the way of salvation.
There is only one way of escape from eternal punishment: Jesus Christ. He does not merely show the way — He is the way:
“I
am the way, and the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father
except through me.”

John
14:6
If you truly trust and surrender your life to the Lord Jesus Christ, then He took your punishment on your behalf — Jesus took the place of the guilty. But faith is not just believing in Jesus. True saving faith involves repentance and a willingness to follow Him as Lord and obey his words in the Bible.
How can you obey God’s word, if you don’t even read the Bible?
To believe in Jesus while refusing to obey is not the true faith of the Bible.
True faith is turning away from Sin and turning to God . Some may love their sins and their traditions of religion; they don’t want to come to Jesus, because they love their sins. Jesus said, “And this is the judgment: the light has come into the world, and people loved the darkness rather than the light because their works were evil. “ (John 3:19)
Jesus also said, “If anyone would come after me, let him deny himself and take up his cross and follow me.” (Mark 8:34)
If you want to have eternal life in heaven, escape eternal punishment in hell, want to follow Jesus, you need to give up your worldly sinful life, denying your sinful passions and give allegiance to the King of Heaven and follow Jesus.
