Meditation on Christian Living

Christians are the Light of this World.

Christ is not just another name, it is a title and the sacred holy name of God becoming a man. We are called Christians because of that holy name. When we have Christ in us, the old nature is crucified and Christ live in us. Yet, the old nature still live in us causing us to sin, we need to put off the old nature daily through prayer and our Christian living. Our Christianity should not be what we believe only but our life as well. Christ should be the center of our heart and soul as Jesus said the most important commandment is to love the Lord, with all our heart, soul and mind. We need to have a transformation from darkness to light and bear fruits in our lifestyle, Christianity should come out of our lives. There was a very poor hungry boy looking at the doughnut shop, many would come and buy doughnuts and walk away ignoring the little boy, but a Christian man who saw the boy looking in hunger at those delicious doughnuts bought him some doughnuts to satisfy his hunger. The boy couldn't believe as he was astonished, he asked the Christian man, “sir are you God?” We should be the light of this world.
