Psalm 93:2
Your throne was established long ago; you are from all eternity.
Before there was time, before the foundations of the earth were laid, there was God alone—infinite, eternal, all-sufficient in Himself. No heavens declared His glory; no angels sang His praise. He was from everlasting to everlasting, perfectly blessed in His own being.
Imagine a time when there was nothing—no stars, no Earth, not even a clock ticking. That's how long God was around! He's infinite (meaning endless) and eternal (meaning forever).
No chance, no accident. The whole universe is here out of pure goodness, God willed to create—to manifest His glory in things visible and invisible. No human architect can build a skyscraper without tools, but God built the whole cosmos without lifting a finger!
Who
can comprehend the power that called all things into being with a
single word? He spoke,
and it was done; He commanded,
and it stood fast (Psalm 33:9). What mortal architect can compare
with Him who built the heavens without tools, or who stretched out
the earth upon nothing?
Scriptures
Colossians
1:16–17 — “All
things were created through Him and for Him.”
Revelation
4:11 — “For
You created all things, and by Your will they exist and were
created.”
God created not in confusion but in perfect order. If you throw a million LEGO bricks in the air, you get a mess. But God didn't create a mess; He created a perfectly ordered universe. He had a plan, a divine blueprint!
First there was darkness and God brought light which darkness was separated from the light.
The heavens were spread like a curtain, adorned with sun, moon, and stars.
The waters were divided; the dry land appeared, clothed with trees and grass.
The air filled with birds, the sea with fish, and the earth with every living creature.
Each element of creation revealed the divine wisdom and harmony of its Maker. Nothing was made in vain. The smallest insect displays the same artistry of God as the mightiest mountain.
How foolish are those who look upon nature and see only chance! The heavens and the earth together cry out, “We are the work of His hands!”
Scriptures
Psalm 19:1 — “The heavens declare the glory of God.”
Isaiah
45:18 — “He
did not create it to be empty, but formed it to be inhabited.”
Romans
1:20 — “His
invisible attributes are clearly seen, being understood by the things
that are made.”
How noble was Adam in his first estate! He bore no stain of sin, no shadow of death. His mind was full of light, his will aligned with God’s, his affections pure and ordered. The whole world was his garden, and God Himself was his delight.
Scriptures
Genesis
1:26–27 — “Let
Us make man in Our image, after Our likeness.”
Genesis 2:7 — “The Lord God formed man from the dust… and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life.”
All
things were made for God’s glory and man’s good.
The sun to
give light, the earth to sustain life, and the sea to bear its
treasures—all exist to declare the wisdom and goodness of the Lord.
Creation was meant to lead man’s heart upward to its Creator. Yet how tragically the creature has forgotten his Maker! Men worship the works of God’s hands rather than God Himself. They marvel at nature’s beauty, yet ignore the One who made it.
Let every sunrise remind us of His mercy, and every star of His majesty. The world is a vast temple where every creature sings, “Holy, holy, holy is the Lord of hosts; the whole earth is full of His glory.”
Scriptures
Isaiah 43:7 — “Everyone who is called by My name, whom I created for My glory.”
Colossians 1:16 — “All things were created through Him and for Him.”
Revelation 14:7 — “Worship Him who made heaven and earth.”
To meditate of His creation rightly is an act of worship. The devout soul sees in every flower a lesson of providence, in every storm a testimony of power, in every breath a gift of grace.
Let
us then lift our hearts from the works to the Worker;
from the creation to the Creator.
If
such beauty adorns the world that is fallen, what glory shall we see
in the new creation, when all things are made new in Christ?
Let the believer, therefore, behold creation with humility, gratitude, and awe—saying with the psalmist:
Scriptures
Psalm 145:5 — “I will meditate on the glorious splendor of Your majesty.”
Creation is a vast testimony of God’s power and goodness. Every believer should see the world as a living sermon of God’s glory, leading us to adore, obey, and trust Him through Jesus Christ—the Lord of creation and the Redeemer of souls.
“For
of Him, and through Him, and to Him, are all things: to whom be glory
forever. Amen.”
(Romans
11:36)
