The book of Acts is the God-breathed record of how the risen Lord Jesus Christ continued His work through the Holy Spirit by establishing and expanding His church through the apostles. It shows the fulfillment of Christ’s promise that the gospel would go from Jerusalem to Judea, Samaria, and to the ends of the earth (Acts 1:8).
Acts reveals God’s sovereign grace in salvation, the bold preaching of the gospel, the power of prayer, persecution for Christ’s name, and the growth of the church among both Jews and Gentiles.
Studying Acts is important because it helps believers understand the foundation of the New Testament church
